The outlet claimed the couple went ahead and got married because they were “stuck together” amid the current lock-down. The outlet contended the country crooner and the pop star were tying the knot in front of 200 guests, including their parents, siblings, and Stefani’s three sons. Nonetheless, the tabloids have claimed several times the couple married in secret, and for some reason, it always takes place at Shelton’s ranch. Just like it’s sister publications’ narrative, Gossip Cop corrected this inaccurate story as well. Additionally, a supposed insider told the publication Shelton was “hesitant to walk down the aisle because he didn’t think they needed a piece of paper to prove their commitment to each other,” but eventually gave in after Stefani’s “nagging.” The bogus story was easily disputed by Gossip Cop. 2:00 pm, April 28, 2020(Getty Images)As much as everyone is hoping for a potential Gwen Stefani – Blake Shelton wedding, it hasn’t happened yet. The inaccurate magazine claimed The Voice co-stars had a backyard wedding at Shelton’s ranch with 16 guests in attendance. Not only did we just dismiss the same story from In Touch’s sister outlet, Life & Style, we also spoke again to a rep for Stefani who again assured us the story was untrue. In June 2019, Star alleged Stefani and Shelton were planning “the wedding of the year.” It wasn’t hard to disprove the misleading tale since Gossip Cop already exposed the magazine for being incorrect a year prior. The dubious publication asserted the couple “made it official with a hush-hush down-home ceremony.” The outlet contended the ceremony took place six months before the story was written with 45 guests in attendance for the supposed intimate ceremony. Just a month later, Life & Style wrote a very similar but contradicting narrative. Yet, the story asserted the couple was still in the stages of planning a wedding and expanding their family. We spoke to a rep for Stefani who confirmed to us that the story was false. In November 2018, In Touch falsely stated on its cover that Stefani was pregnant and married Shelton. Gossip Cop busted many of these stories, here are the five times the tabloids were wrong about Shelton and Stefani marrying. The first bust on our list took place in August 2018, when Star alleged Shelton and Stefani married at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter A more reliable source, Entertainment Tonight, confirmed the pair did not marry, and additionally, at the time, Shelton admitted to thinking about marrying Stefani but did say “it wouldn’t happen anytime soon. ” Gossip Cop wasted no time in debunking the baseless article. Gossip Cop busted the fabricated story at the time, of course. Despite what the outlet claimed, the couple did not get married. Given the publication’s history of being untrustworthy when reporting on the two singers, it’s laughable to think anyone took the story seriously. A so-called insider added the couple was going to end the evening with a “30-minute fireworks display.” As amazing as it sounded, the story was bogus. Again. And just a few days ago, Star once again asserted Stefani and Shelton got hitched while in quarantine. The publication’s cover made it seem Shelton and Stefani were married, however, the accompanying article stated the couple spent the summer planning “a star-studded, no-expenses-spared wedding” at Shelton’s ranch, of course. An alleged insider told the magazine Stefani was going “all-out” and that several A-listers would be in attendance.
Shelton also promised to convert to Roman Catholicism for Stefani, the tipster adds, and will do his best to make sure they say their vows in a church ceremony. But that’s hardly the end of the surprisingly detailed story. “Blake Shelton Talks Marriage Plans With Gwen Stefani: How They’ll Break the News ‘When It Happens’ (Exclusive).” ET, 23 June 2019.Okano, Marisa. Shelton’s about to embark on his Friends and Heroes Tour until early March, so we imagine he’s more concerned with those preparations than planning an imaginary wedding.Even the opening anecdote is exaggerated beyond belief. The reason for the good mood, the outlet says, is that they’re secretly engaged. (Getty Images)Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are “finally engaged” and planning an extravagant $3 million wedding? “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Having Baby Girl?” Gossip Cop, 30 Jan. Australia leads off with an anecdote about Stefani and Shelton her son Kingston’s soccer practice where “they couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” an anonymous source tells the magazine. “Gwen Stefani’s Parents Gave Blake Shelton Permission To Propose?” Gossip Cop, 4 May 2019. “But they decided Christmas morning would be the perfect time to share the news with their family and close friends.”“Blake told Gwen he’d wanted her to hear it, but the tune was actually titled ‘The Proposal,’” the source claims. “At first, Gwen and Blake wanted to keep their engagement quiet so they could enjoy this milestone together,” the mysterious insider says. According to the paparazzi photos and videos of the practice, “packing on PDA” translates to an arm around the shoulder and a hair tussle. 2019.Shuster, Andrew. almost a year ago for claiming Shelton and Stefani were having a baby girl. After the church, they plan to have a reception at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, the source asserts. However, we know it won’t resemble this outlet’s report. “Blake quietly proposed to Gwen at the beginning of the holiday season,” an unidentified tipster says, “and she, of course, said yes!” The source says Shelton put off proposing until Christmas on account of Stefani’s love for the holiday. The outlet insists the two are trying to conceive naturally, but they’re fully prepared to go the adoption route as well. While the number of claims and details are impressive, they’re made-up nonsense. As Shelton has said time and time again, the news of the engagement won’t come from a tabloid. The outlet even used the exact same photo of Stefani resting her ring-studded hand on Shelton’s chest. amid rumors that they’re ready to tie the knot.” Daily Mail, 14 Dec. “Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton take her son Kingston, 13, to football tryouts… MagazineSourcesDrysdale, Jennifer. The outlet mentions several hyper-specific details about the layers of the cake, the design of Stefani’s dress and Shelton’s plan for barbecue-centric catering. And to round off the massive list of audacious claims, the source mentions that the couple is trying to have a baby. “When it happens, you’ll hear about it from somebody like you.”And for what it’s worth, it’s bold to claim the couple could spend over $7 million dollars on wedding preparations in roughly three weeks without anyone besides this singular tabloid noticing. Shelton popped the question as the song ended, offering her “a $4.3 million custom pear-shaped eight-carat diamond set in platinum.”Then, the verbose source says, Stefani’s sons burst into the room and they all had a group hug. “Obviously, [our relationship’s] gotta lead somewhere, but I promise you, we won’t break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight in this past June. We’ve debunked countless fake articles about Shelton’s proposals, and this latest piece is more nonsense. If the tabloid can’t be true to documented reality, why should we trust it to report anything close to non-fiction?Gossip Cop is fairly confident that the two will tie the knot at some point. The two “packed on the PDA between cheers” and appeared to be in high spirits. We also busted the outlet last May for a story about Shelton asking Stefani’s parents — not her sons — for permission to marry her. 2019.Shuster, Andrew. The entire story is a work of fiction. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Flipboard Share via Email Blake Shelton Gwen Stefani OK! That’s the story according to the latest issue of a tabloid. Multiple tabloids have tried their hand at a Shelton-Stefani wedding rumor, but none have stood up to scrutiny. We called out the American edition of OK! “So far, the price tag is already coming in at almost $3 million,” they add. Gossip Cop found the rumor to be false.OK! The country singer asked his girlfriend’s sons for permission before popping the question, the insider says.
“Blake Shelton Dumped Gwen Stefani On Mother’s Day?” Gossip Cop, 22 May 2019. The tabloid’s inconsistency and constant fiction is flat-out staggering. Did we mention the twin girls they were having? Shuster, Andrew. (Life and Style)
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton did not get married on her 50th birthday earlier this month, despite a ridiculous tabloid story. Gossip Cop checked in with sources close to the situation, and we’re assured the outlet’s report is 100 percent fabricated. In the fantasy world of the magazine, the couple also eloped in Mexico last year. Stefani and Shelton aren’t secretly married, and there was no ceremony in the woods on her 50th birthday. That’s very different than marrying his girlfriend on her birthday. The magazine’s report has more in common with fan fiction than it does with anything resembling journalism. Earlier this month, Stefani and Shelton went on a camping getaway in California to celebrate her milestone birthday. “Gwen Stefani Pregnant, Blake Shelton Proposing On ‘The Voice’?” Gossip Cop, 19 Sep. Stefani was expecting those babies last December, per the outlet. According to Life & Style, however, this wasn’t just a birthday trip. “Having a mini-me running around would be a dream come true for Gwen,” says the questionable insider, adding that the singer is hoping to welcome a baby girl with Shelton. It must me mentioned, Life & Style has no concern for consistency when it comes to making up stories about the couple. That imaginary scenario isn’t mentioned in this latest report. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim otherwise. From there, the “insider” maintains that Stefani and Shelton are planning a second, bigger celebration to be held in either Los Angeles or Oklahoma, with a guest list that includes their Voice co-stars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine. “Gwen was absolutely blown away,” adds the suspicious source. 2019. The outlet claims the two got hitched during a “hush-hush wedding in the woods.”
“Gwen thought she was just going camping for her birthday with Blake,” says a supposed source, “but what she got turned out to be the surprise of a lifetime.” The alleged insider goes on to say the No Doubt singer’s friends and family helped her boyfriend organize a surprise vow exchange ceremony during the trip. Shuster, Andrew. Gossip Cop called out the magazine for alleging Shelton had dumped Stefani on Mother’s Day. Naturally, the tabloid’s story wouldn’t be complete without throwing a baby into the mix. Neither narrative is a reality. 2019. Less than a month ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Stefani was pregnant and Shelton planned on proposing to her on The Voice. Blake Shelton Gwen Stefani Life & Style
Shuster, Andrew. The couple hasn’t secretly tied the knot. “It was a fairly-tale wedding under the stars, and Gwen said it was one of the best moments of her life.”
The seemingly phony tipster further contends that Shelton “got Gwen’s friends and her sister to help him pick out a dress, flowers and the rings.” As the story goes, when Stefani arrived at a canopy in the woods, an ordained minister was there waiting. “Gwen Stefani Announced She’s Pregnant During Blake Shelton Wedding?” Gossip Cop, 17 Apr. In May, the publication offered a very different take on the couple’s romance. Just one month before that, Life & Style insisted Stefani announced she was pregnant with Shelton’s baby during a wedding at his Oklahoma ranch.
He knows it’s been hard for her turning 50 and, on top of that, fearing she’s letting him down or worrying that he may want someone younger down the road.”
While the magazine is complimentary of Shelton’s efforts as an additional father figure to Stefani’s three sons, it never addresses why Stefani or Shelton wouldn’t be content with his current role as a stepfather of sorts. More incredibly, the “baby girl” story wasn’t the tabloid’s only attempt at capitalizing on a bogus pregnancy narrative. Gossip Cop found the premise to be totally untrue. “He’s doing his best to make a hard time easier for her.”
It’s interesting for the tabloid to assert that Stefani refused to go the IVF route. “He says they could adopt in the future, but mainly he tried to lift Gwen’s spirits,” the seemingly phony source concludes. It’s just a made-up tabloid rumor. “Gwen Stefani Did NOT Suffer Two Miscarriages This Year, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 20 June 2018. It propagates the typical pregnancy and baby rumors before shutting them down, but like most tabloids, it can’t even keep track of its own falsehoods. Almost a year ago to the day, the magazine boldly proclaimed Stefani was pregnant with a baby girl thanks to IVF. Many of Star‘s sister publications have published extremely similar — and extremely false — stories about Stefani and Shelton having a baby multiple times and simply ignored their past reports. Blake Shelton Gwen Stefani Star Magazine
“Gwen Stefani Having Yet Another ‘Miracle’ Baby At 49?” Gossip Cop, 31 Oct. “Gwen could see the possibilities,” adds the questionable source, “but she just didn’t think she could put her body through IVF at her age, so the clock just ran out. She tried to get pregnant without a doctor’s help, but sadly, it just wasn’t happening for her.” Stefani, the tipster says, realized “the window’s closed now, and that’s OK.”
Shelton, for his part, isn’t stressed about the situation, according to the magazine, which goes on to say his ambivalence about having kids was a “sticking point” in his previous relationship with Miranda Lambert, but he’s since changed his tune. “Gwen knows that at her age, having another baby just isn’t in the cards.”
The alleged insider further contends that the couple was inspired by Janet Jackson’s pregnancy at 51 to explore IVF treatments. “It was like, ‘Yeah, I may be scared, but I can do this.’”
“Blake loves Gwen with all his heart,” the insider continues, “he’s had two failed marriages and is dedicated to making this relationship work. Those happy occasions have inspired Star to concoct this latest story about the couple’s relationship. The magazine tries to have its cake and eat it too with this latest story. 2018. Last year, the publication claimed Stefani suffered two separate miscarriages after getting pregnant with Shelton’s child. Stefani and Shelton just recently celebrated her 50th birthday together, and the couple will soon be celebrating their fourth anniversary as a couple. (Getty Images)
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not struggling to accept the fact they’ll never have a baby together. The tabloid claims the two music stars have been “taking stock about what might be missing — their own bundle of joy.”
“She looks at her future with Blake and wonders if, over the long haul, he’ll be happy without ever having a child of his own,” a so-called “source” tells the outlet. Those past failings paint a picture of publications with unreliable sources and a penchant for skipping the fact-checking part of reporting. “Easing into the role of a father with Gwen’s children was really a profound experience for him,” adds the questionable insider.
Similar rumors have emerged in the past. “Friends don’t think an engagement is far off,” the questionable insider adds. “Gwen’s even thinking of enrolling the boys in Oklahoma schools, but that’s still a battle,” adds the suspicious source, referring to Stefani’s 50/50 custody agreement with her ex-husband. “The Reawakening of Gwen Stefani.” Marie Claire, 20 Nov. Unsurprisingly, the report that include misleading and improperly cited quotes doesn’t contain a grain of truth. Now we just need a wedding.”
For such an “official” event, the tabloid is suspiciously vague by failing to identify when or where Stefani said those things because she clearly wouldn’t speak to the outlet about a clearly made-up rumor. “In his mind, she deserves it.” For some reason, the “source” also already knows what Stefani’s plans are for the home. In 2017, Gossip Cop called out RadarOnline, a sister site of Life & Style, for an extremely similar story about Stefani and Shelton moving to Oklahoma. “If I am am somehow, and Gwen somehow, are newsworthy enough that they have to make up stories about us just to have something to say,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight, “then I guess that’s a good problem to have.” Shelton also added that when the two do eventually get engaged, it won’t be announced in any of the rumor mills. While we agree that Stefani and Shelton are good together, we take issue with the “need a wedding” part of the article. There are ATVs. “Blake Shelton talks marriage plans with Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine’s The Voice Exit.” YouTube, 23 June 2019. As Stefani’s rep told us then, the singer has never planned on uprooting her family or somehow separating them from their father. “Everyone’s counting down the days until he proposes. “It might even end up being where Blake and Gwen get hitched!”
“Blake’s been saying he wants to build a dream house for Gwen, separate from the one he shared with Miranda [Lambert],” the source says. The tabloid simply can’t get it right when it comes to the not-so-country couple. The actual source of Stefani’s quote is a Marie Claire cover story from November 2017. “Gwen’s must-haves are a huge walk-in closet, a mini hair salon and makeup room, a movie theater, spa and, of course, a game room for the boys,” the alleged tipster claims. “The Oklahoma house signals the start of their lives together, as a couple and as a family,” a so-called “insider” tells the magazine. “Blake Shelton Dumped Gwen Stefani On Mother’s Day?” Gossip Cop, 22 May 2019. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not leaving Hollywood and moving to Oklahoma, despite a false report. 2017. Being a mother of three boys, it’s kind of the perfect place.”
This leads to the tabloid’s assertion that the two are building a new new, permanent home on Shelton’s property. Shuster, Andrew. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Moving To Oklahoma Full-Time?” Gossip Cop, 20 Feb. “Gwen Stefani Pregnant, Blake Shelton Proposing On ‘The Voice’?” Gossip Cop, 19 Sep. It also conveniently ignores its May story about Stefani getting dumped on Mother’s Day. Country Music Archives. Gossip Cop found this latest one to be equally false. “I promise you,” he said, “we won’t break the news in any of the grocery store trash magazines.”
Noticeably absent in Life & Style‘s latest piece about the stars is the explanation of what happened to its previous claims about Shelton proposing to a supposedly pregnant Stefani on The Voice from the beginning of September. It makes no sense for the singer to change her mind now. “There’s something about being in Oklahoma that fulfills a need inside me I didn’t even know I had,” Stefani had said. Shuster, Andrew. This is just a lazy riff on past rumors about the couple. 2019. 2019. For some reason, Life & Style declares it “official” that Stefani and Shelton are moving out of the Golden state.
In a 2017 interview on the Today show, Shelton addressed the amount of rumors about him and Stefani. “Gwen Stefani Did NOT Order Blake Shelton To Lose Weight, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 21 Dec. It’s all nonsense. I eat meat right in front of her face!”
Gossip Cop busted the Globe’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for alleging in January that Stefani gave Shelton an ultimatum to get fit or get dumped. Shuster, Andrew. The tabloids saw an opportunity to exploit this scenario. “Blake Shelton understands why people are surprised he’s with Gwen Stefani.” Today, 24 April 2017. (Getty Images)
Is Gwen Stefani forcing Blake Shelton to give up meat and carbs to lose weight? The supposed insider goes on to say that Shelton has “had a hard time keeping up with Gwen over the last couple years. Blake Shelton Gwen Stefani The Globe
Pasquini, Maria. The singer even made her boyfriend a pepperoni pizza, the perfect mix of both meat and carbs. This storyline wasn’t true two years ago, and it’s no more accurate now. Shuster, Andrew. Gossip Cop looked into this familiar story. As we covered in that bust, Stefani has publicly stated that her boyfriend is the one who motivates her to go the gym, which isn’t exactly the lifestyle of someone as unhealthy as the Globe claims. The narrative was invented because Stefani is a longtime vegetarian while her country singer boyfriend comes from a culture defined by red meat and hunting. This is basically just another recycled rumor that the tabloids have unsuccessfully tried to use before. “Or we’re gonna get married, or she’s on her second set of twins. A source close to the situation also confirms that this latest article is more of the same nonsense. She’s totally into her workouts and vegetarian diet and staying healthy.”
The alleged tipster adds, “Giving up his meat and potatoes makes him sad, but he’ll do it if it pleases her.” If the magazine had bothered to do any fact-checking before making up this story, it would have learned that Stefani threw a pizza party for Shelton’s birthday in June. 2017. She’s obviously not trying to force him to change his diet. “Gwen Stefani Gave Blake Shelton Ultimatum To Get Fit Or Get Dumped?” Gossip Cop, 11 Jan. “Gwen Stefani Throws Blake Shelton a Birthday Pizza Party and Jokes About Beating Him on The Voice.” People, 21 June 2019. As far back as 2017, Gossip Cop had to debunk claims about Stefani demanding that Shelton lose weight. “Any time you see a story about us, it’s either that it’s a fake relationship or that we’re already married,” the country star said. The tabloid claims the No Doubt singer is demanding that her boyfriend stay away “from meat and bad carbs” to lose at least 20 pounds. Or, you know, I’m sneaking behind her back to eat meat. In an article published in this week’s Globe, an anonymous source says that Shelton’s been packing on the pounds since he and Stefani started dating in 2015. 2019. Dawn, Randee.
The source also claimed Stefani was “devastated,” and that the couple was “living apart and barely communicating.” Not only was the couple still together then, they are certainly living together now, having just purchased a huge estate in Beverly Hills together. The story was also filled with holes, as one section of the article said Shelton was “cooling things off” to “make them stronger in the long run.” Well, which was it? 2018
Shuster, Andrew. Here are a few examples. 2018
Shuster, Andrew. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted an In Touch cover story claiming Shelton had “dumped” Stefani and called off a planned “live TV proposal.” An anonymous “insider” told the magazine that the producers of The Voice “would love nothing more than for Blake to propose on live television,” but the country star didn’t think the timing was right. (Getty Images)
The tabloids often publish false stories about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton breaking up, with many of these reports involving the country star “dumping” his girlfriend. There were no signs that he was unhappy, so she’s racking her brain, looking for any and all clues.” That wasn’t the case. Gossip Cop has debunked many takes on the subject. Stefani’s spokesperson confirmed with Gossip Cop that the story wasn’t true and time has proven as much. The tabloid doubled down on the story, this time, again citing an unnamed “tipster,” who claimed that Shelton had grown “tired of dealing with their many problems.” The “source” further asserted that the No Doubt singer was “heartbroken.” She couldn’t have been too “heartbroken” considering that the couple is still together, a year and a half later. Nothing about the report was true, as we confirmed at the time with Stefani’s rep. Around 10 months later, In Touch recycled the exact same headline for yet another bogus report claiming Shelton had dumped Stefani. Was Shelton just slowing things down as the article seemed to suggest or did he dump Stefani as the cover headline screamed? An unnamed insider was quoted as telling the magazine, “The surprise Gwen got was shocking. “Blake Shelton Dumped Gwen Stefani On Mother’s Day?” Gossip Cop, 22 May 2019 In October 2018, the National Enquirer published an incorrect story about Stefani and Shelton splitting up. Of course, Shelton and Stefani were both judges on the reality competition show at the time, as they will be again for its upcoming 17th season. In that article, an unverified “insider” said Shelton had a “change of heart” about having a baby and dumped Stefani right before their third anniversary together. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Did NOT Split, Despite Report” Gossip Cop, 10 Oct. “Gwen Stefani NOT “Dumped” By Blake Shelton, Despite Made-Up Tabloid Cover Story” Gossip Cop, 17 May 2017
“Blake Shelton “Dumped” Gwen Stefani Report Is Not True” Gossip Cop, 7 Mar. They’ve continued packing on the PDA in the months that have followed. And in May, Life & Style wrongly reported that Shelton had dumped Stefani on Mother’s Day. The tabloid clearly wasn’t convinced by its own phony premise. Just a few days prior to the story being published, Stefani and Shelton were spotted packing on the PDA at a theme park in California.
Lewittes, Michael. As Gossip Cop has mentioned before, we look back at articles from the past to show how they’re fared over time. It’s just bad guessing. In this instance, there’s no question HollywoodLife’s story about Stefani hiding a baby bump was a fabrication and several of its subsequent pieces have also proven to be entirely false. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton ‘Summer Wedding’ Suspected By Friends Is Fake News.” Gossip Cop, 12 June 2018. We also corrected the site when it insisted this past February for the second year in a row that Stefani and Shelton were getting engaged on Valentine’s Day. At the time, Gossip Cop said the speculation was 100 percent false, and now 12 months later it’s obvious how wrong the report was. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Not Engaged On Valentine’s Day, Despite Claim Second Year In A Row.” Gossip Cop, 15 Feb. Clearly, if HollywoodLies truly has Stefani sources, the outlet could have easily checked in with one of them to find out definitively whether or not she pregnant again. 2018. Shuster, Andrew. 2019. And while the site disingenuously maintains in many other stories that it has a “source close to Gwen,” for the piece about her “hiding” a baby bump, no supposed insider was quoted. As noted above, HollywoodLies posts a lot of made-up tales about the singer, and it hasn’t become any more reliable in the 365 days since it asserted Stefani was pregnant because she was wearing baggy clothes. Basically, the often discredited outlet saw a photo of Stefani in what it termed “baggy clothes,” and simply stirred the pot by questioning whether the No Doubt singer was expecting a fourth child. 2019. “Gwen Stefani ‘Baggy Tee’ NOT Proof She’s Pregnant, Despite Claim.” Gossip Cop, 26 May 2018. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton NOT Collaborating On Joint Album, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 15 Jan. Was Gwen Stefani “hiding” a baby bump under loose-fitting clothes? “Gwen Stefani Has No Surrogacy Plans To Make Blake Shelton’s ‘Fatherhood Dreams Come True’.” Gossip Cop, 16 Nov. Conversely, Gossip Cop fact-checked the habitually debunked blog’s claims, and a rep for Stefani told us on the record she was not having a baby then. That, of course, is not journalism. Much like many reports from HollywoodLies, as it’s nicknamed, there was no evidence whatsoever to back up its article’s premise. Gwen Stefani HollywoodLife
Dennis Dennehy, spokesperson for Gwen Stefani. Naturally, that was also untrue. Six month ago, Gossip Cop busted the website when it inaccurately contended Stefani planned to use a surrogate to help Shelton realize his fatherhood dreams. On May 26, 2018, HollywoodLife concocted a story that alleged Stefani was pregnant with Blake Shelton’s baby, and was “hiding” a bump. And there are scores of other examples that prove the blog has little to no insight at all into Stefani’s life. A month after that phony report, the blog swore up and down Shelton and Stefani had planned a wedding for the summer of 2018. Her rep shot down that story, as well as a HollywoodLies tale a little later about Stefani and Shelton collaborating on a joint album. That was the claim from a website exactly a year ago today. Our goal is also to help readers better understanding which outlets they can and cannot trust. That also was a total lie.
2019. 2018. Shuster, Andrew. When Gossip Cop revisits articles from the year before it’s not to pat ourselves on the back for being right. 2019. 2019. “Gwen Stefani Announced She’s Pregnant During Blake Shelton Wedding?” Gossip Cop, 17 Apr. Gwen Stefani Life & Style OK! And earlier in the year, we corrected that same outlet’s cover story which falsely alleged Stefani was having a baby girl with Shelton. Shuster, Andrew. Basically, those tabloids come up with a lot of untrue articles about the singer, including how Stefani was going to have her own cooking show on the Food Network, but they rarely pan out. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Having Baby Girl?” Gossip Cop, 30 Jan. On May 8, 2018, OK! And OK!’s reporting about her is no better. At the time, Gossip Cop noted it was untrue, and clearly 12 months later there’s no series nor a printed collection of her favorite recipes. (Getty Images)
What ever happened to Gwen Stefani’s cooking show and the cookbook she was writing? Just last week, Gossip Cop shot down a claim about Stefani’s parents giving Shelton permission to propose to her. Magazine
Dennis Dennehy, spokesperson for Gwen Stefani, 8 May 2018. Shuster, Andrew. And in the intervening year since those pieces, the two magazines haven’t gotten any better with serving up dish about Stefani. Shuster, Andrew. 2019. Now, a full 365 days later, it should be readily apparent that the publications either concocted the tales themselves or relied on a very untrustworthy tipster. Like a plate of food that’s been left out, the tabloid’s tales also went bad over time. Of course, they didn’t marry at his Oklahoma ranch and she’s not expecting a baby. That was premise behind a magazine’s story from exactly one year ago today. “Gwen Stefani Announced She’s Pregnant During Blake Shelton Wedding?” Gossip Cop, 17 Apr. The tabloids said the show was a project Stefani had “dreamed” about for a very “long time,” and was coming to fruition thanks to her friend Giada de Laurentiis. In either case, the claims about Stefani shifting professions was 100 percent false. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Had ‘Quickie’ Marriage In Mexico?” Gossip Cop, 4 Apr. “Gwen Stefani To Host Cooking Show On Food Network?” Gossip Cop, 8 Apr. The outlets even asserted the singer was going to make a career change and focus on the food program and put together a cookbook. and its sister publication Life & Style swore up and down Stefani was going to do a series for the Food Network in which she would have “celebrity guests [on] the show,” most notably her boyfriend Blake Shelton. Nor did Shelton and Stefani have a quickie wedding in Mexico, which the outlet had previously insisted in April 2018. The two magazines’ reports were based on quotes from an anonymous, untraceable, and seemingly phony “source.” Conversely, Gossip Cop reached out to Stefani’s rep who, speaking on her behalf, assured us the entire narrative was fabricated. Just three weeks ago, for example, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style when it wrongly maintained in a cover story that Stefani announced at her wedding to Shelton that she was pregnant. “Gwen Stefani’s Parents Gave Blake Shelton Permission To Propose?” Gossip Cop, 4 May 2019. Rather, it’s to show readers which publications they can and cannot trust for accurate information. Wikipedia page for “Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl” residency in LAs Vegas. In fact, since those bogus articles, the No Doubt singer has launched her “Gwen Stefani – Just A Girl” residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas that began in June 2018 and runs through November 2019. Her spokesperson similarly told us that was also wrong. In this case, Gossip Cop roasted both magazines for their misguided pieces about Stefani.
In fact, Gossip Cop has caught that outlet fabricating these types of bogus narratives on many occasions, including some listed below. Weiss, Shari. Another report contended Shelton would greet his ex-wife “with a smile” if he were to see her. It also likes speculating about what might go down if Shelton and Lambert were to have a “run-in.” What it doesn’t like doing, however, is fact-checking. That article, which was published just days before last year’s awards show, was hypothetical and didn’t actually mention that the exes would both be attending the same awards show. Regardless, Gossip Cop looked into the report, and a mutual acquaintance of ours and Shelton tells us on condition of anonymity that HollywoodLies is “trying to make a story out of this,” but there’s truly nothing to it. “Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert “Awkward Run-In” Story Is Made-Up.” Gossip Cop, 9 Apr. The reality is there’s a far greater chance the outlet will make up more articles about Shelton and Lambert in the days leading up to the ACMs than them actually “bumping into” one another. At the very least, the website has a better grasp of their schedules this time around. HollywoodLife, which is sometimes referred to as HollywoodLies, maintains Shelton is “not worried” about coming face-to-face with Lambert at Sunday’s ACMs. A third tale on the subject alleged Lambert hoped Shelton would leave Stefani “at home.” And yet another post simply asked its readers, “Do you think Blake and Miranda will have a run-in at the CMT Awards?”
HollywoodLies likes manufacturing drama. In April 2018, for instance, Gossip Cop called out the blog for making up a nearly identical story about why Shelton wasn’t stressing over the possibility of running into Lambert at the 2018 AMCs. Still, the ACM Awards are on April 7, and with Lambert and Shelton both confirmed for the event, an often discredited outlet has begun spinning what will undoubtedly be a series of made-up stories. “Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant With Blake Shelton’s Baby, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 25 May 2018. One article pretended to have “exclusive” insight into why Stefani “couldn’t care less” if the exes ran into each other. A full 11 months ago, for example, the same site that claims it now has an “insider” falsely insisted Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. Weiss, Shari. Back in June 2017, the outlet made up a string of stories about what would happen if Shelton and Lambert crossed paths at the CMT Music Awards. “Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert CMT Music Awards Stories Made Up By HollywoodLife.” Gossip Cop, 8 Jun. But should “The Voice” coach accidentally run into Lambert, the blog’s almost assuredly fake “insider” asserts Shelton will be “an adult about it.” Of course, why wouldn’t the country singer, who’s been happily involved with Gwen Stefani since 2015, be anything but “an adult”? Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors HollywoodLife Miranda Lambert

If there’s a country music awards show, there’s a strong chance one particular blog will make up tales about how Blake Shelton and his ex-wife Miranda Lambert might react should they have a “run-in.” Mostly, it’s a non-issue since they’ve yet to have an “awkward” encounter since they divorced in 2015. As previously noted, this is par for the course for that site. The website notes how producers of awards shows make every effort to seat certain people apart and ensure they don’t “bump into” each other.
Weiss, Shari. “‘The Voice’ Team NOT ‘Surprised’ Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo Pregnant Again Before Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani.” Gossip Cop, 14 Sept. “Adam Levine and Charlie Puth are Teaming Up on ‘The Voice’ and Here’s What to Expect (Exclusive).” Entertainment Tonight, 7 Feb. Hohman, Maura. Gossip Cop has debunked several bogus reports surrounding the two coaches of “The Voice.” Here are five wrong rumors. The premise was completely made-up and didn’t make much sense. Levine even noted in an interview that all the bickering they do on camera “comes from a place of love,” while Shelton added, “We drive each other nuts, but outside of this world, he’s one of my best friends and it’s because of his heart.”
And finally, Gossip Cop shot down a National Enquirer article about Shelton and Levine being “at war” backstage at “The Voice.” The reason behind the supposed feud? 2017. The blog said those working on the show weren’t expecting Levine to be having a second child, but they were expecting Shelton to become a first-time dad. “The Voice Coaches Open Up About Their Tight Bond — and Gwen Reveals Why She’s Jealous of Adam (Hint: It Involves Blake Shelton).” People, 27 Feb. Weiss, Shari. Gawley, Paige. Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for falsely claiming Shelton and Levine’s “bromance had cooled off.” The magazine maintained that the two weren’t as friendly as they had been and were just faking their chemistry for the cameras. Why exactly would it be more surprising for a married couple to be having their second child than it would be for an unmarried couple to be having their first? “Blake Shelton ‘Hoping For A Child’ After Adam Levine Baby News Is Made-Up Story.” Gossip Cop, 16 Sept. (Getty Images)
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine’s friendship is frequently the subject of false tabloids stories. 2017. The website was just capitalizing on the news of Levine’s second baby with a totally bogus story surrounding Shelton and Stefani’s relationship. The outlet further contended that everyone on the set of “The Voice” noticed that Shelton and Levine were drifting apart. Gossip Cop called out HollywoodLife for making up a story about Shelton wanting a baby with Gwen Stefani following the news that Levine was expecting his second child with Behati Prinsloo. Shortly before the phony story was published, however, Shelton opened up in an interview about his close bond with Levine. As soon as the report emerged, a source involved in the production of the NBC show assured us it was completely ridiculous. 2017. Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline for falsely claiming Shelton and Levine were feuding because the country star’s contestant won “The Voice.” The blog insisted the Maroon 5 singer felt the competition was “rigged” in Shelton’s favor, and it led to “some serious backstage animosity.” In reality, the coaches are both good sports when it comes to their reality show. Levine welcomed his second baby more than a year ago. “Gwen Stefani Says There’s ‘Zero Pressure’ to Get Engaged to Blake Shelton — But They’re ‘Forever.'” People, 12 Dec. 2019. “He’s one of the most loving people I’ve ever known,” said the country star. 2018. Levine was asked in an interview earlier this month if Charlie Puth joining the show would interfere with his and Shelton’s friendship, and the singer responded, “Nothing could ever get in the way of my love for Blake Shelton.”
Adam Levine Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors The Voice
Chiu, Melody. Gossip Cop also debunked a HollywoodLife report claiming the staff at “The Voice” was surprised that Levine and Prinsloo were having a baby, while Shelton and Stefani weren’t. The tabloid alleged that the country star was hitting on his co-star’s wife. What happens on screen doesn’t result in real-life tension. In reality, Levine’s second child had no impact on his co-star’s ambitions to become a father. As time has proven, the two coaches aren’t at odds in any capacity. As recently as two months ago, Stefani said in an interview that she and Shelton are “just trying to be in the moment” and aren’t focused on what the future holds.
2019. 2019. This latest conflict involving Robbie is equally imaginary. She called her deluded and Gaga shot back that Margot is a stuck-up snob,” continues the purported source. (Getty Images)
Are Lady Gaga and Margot Robbie feuding? Despite what the outlet’s anonymous tipster claims, a rep qualified to speak on the singer’s behalf assures us she’s not in a secret feud with Robbie. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. “During the ceremony, Margot was slamming Gaga for trying to steal her crown as Hollywood’s newest golden girl,” says the suspicious tipster. Dennis Dennehy, Spokesperson for Lady Gaga. As the story goes, the tension between the two finally exploded at the SAG Awards in Los Angeles on January 27. According to Life & Style, the singer and the actress have been locked in a bitter feud built on jealousy, warring over the same roles and red-carpet snubs. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Gaga’s repeatedly commented on how cold Margot’s acted toward her whenever they’ve crossed paths.” The supposed source further contends that Robbie has also been trying to mess with the singer’s acting career, saying, “After Gaga was called in to audition for a Willy Wonka movie that’s currently being cast, she heard that Margot had gone to great lengths to get a reading with casting directors to take the role from her.” It should be noted, not a single Hollywood trade publication has reported about either star being attached to a Willy Wonka movie. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Gaga was at war with Julia Roberts after the actress supposedly snubbed her at the Critics’ Choice Awards. “She told people that Gaga needed to ‘stay in her own lane.’” Gaga supposedly caught wind of Robbie’s remarks and “confronted her in the lobby” following the awards ceremony. “They really laid into each other,” adds the seemingly phony source. “Gaga’s never liked Margot, and she’s got her claws out ready to fight.”
The tabloid’s account of events is pure fiction. “This could be the biggest Hollywood war yet,” says the supposed insider. “Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga Feuding?” Gossip Cop, 12 Jan. Celebrity Rumors Lady Gaga Life & Style Margot Robbie
Shuster, Andrew. Shuster, Andrew. 6 Feb. The magazine goes on to say that Gaga’s fiancé, Christian Carino, had to pull the two women apart. This also isn’t the first time Life & Style has attempted to throw the singer into a fake feud with another celebrity. Just weeks before that bogus article, the publication alleged that Gaga was feuding with Gwen Stefani over who’s Las Vegas residency would be more successful. “Julia Roberts, Lady Gaga Feuding?” Gossip Cop, 29 Jan. One of this week’s tabloids claims the two stars have been secretly battling for quite some time and got into a heated confrontation at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last month. 2019. It should be noted, dozens of entertainment journalists covered the SAG Awards, and there hasn’t been a single other report about Gaga and Robbie getting into an angry altercation at the public event. Gossip Cop reached out to Gaga’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the magazine’s story is completely made-up. “Margot was really taken aback by Gaga’s aggressive tone.
Weiss, Shari. It bears mentioning RadarOnline has had a bad track record with stories about the couple before that tall tale and since then as well. Basically, the blogs two points about Stefani not being asked back on “The Voice,” and Shelton supposedly being so “resentful” about it that he “wants off” the NBC show, are easily disproven. 2018. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton NOT Hunting For Home ‘Where They’ll Exchange Vows,’ Says Rep.” Gossip Cop, 6 Nov. Not terribly concerned about consistency or accuracy, several months later Gossip Cop busted the same outlet when it asserted Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. That was the premise of a story one year ago today. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Never ‘Faked’ Relationship For ‘The Voice,’ Despite Report A Year Ago.” Gossip Cop, 7 Apr. Each and every one of those stories was 100 percent false. Not only did our impeccable sources and the singers’ reps shoot down those claims, but time has proved us right as well. 2018. Weiss, Shari. Additionally, a few months ago the blog claimed Stefani was still “in love” with Gavin Rossdale, and it’s been a “nightmare” for Shelton. “Gwen Stefani NOT ‘Still In Love’ With Gavin Rossdale, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 20 Sept. On February 2, 2018, RadarOnline published an article about how Shelton became “resentful” when the NBC singing competition show didn’t invite Stefani back as a coach after season 12. Shuster, Andrew. There should be no question the tale about Shelton having a feud with “The Voice” because of Stefani was wrong then and even more so now. Similarly, Stefani exited “The Voice” again after season 12 to work on her holiday album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, which came out just a few months later. Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors Gwen Stefani RadarOnline
Wikipedia for “The Voice.”
Wikipedia for Gwen Stefani. And just weeks ago, Gossip Cop corrected the website when it wrongly reported Stefani and Shelton were hunting for a house where they’ll exchange vows. As a result, maintained the blog, there was “bad blood” between Shelton and the producers of “The Voice,” and there was a good chance he would “leaving the show.” A supposed source was quoted as contending Shelton “threw a fit” when he was informed that Stefani was being replaced by Miley Cyrus for season 13. 2018. Of course, since that report, Shelton has returned for seasons 13, 14, and 15. And in just three weeks, Shelton will be a coach once again on season 16 with Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. Prior to the article about him having “bad blood” with NBC because his “lady love” didn’t return to the singing series, the same site insisted Stefani and Shelton were faking their relationship on “The Voice” simply to boost its ratings. “Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant, Despite Baby Bump ‘Rumors.'” Gossip Cop, 11 Dec. Since then, Stefani has been busy with her residency show, “Just A Girl,” which runs through November 2019 at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. At the time, Gossip Cop reported it was false, and it’s even more clear now the claim was untrue. As Gossip Cop has stated before, we sometimes look back at articles from one year ago to show readers which outlets they can and cannot trust for reliable reporting. The truth, as Gossip Cop noted 365 days ago, was Shelton wasn’t looking to leave “The Voice” because his girlfriend didn’t return as a coach, and that Stefani left the show voluntarily to focus on her own music. (Getty Images)
Did Blake Shelton really want to leave “The Voice” because Gwen Stefani didn’t return as a coach? 2017. “Gwen Stefani Did NOT Come Between Blake Shelton And ‘The Voice,’ Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 2 Feb. Weiss, Shari. 2018. As pointed out above, it was untrue a year ago that Shelton was “leaving the show” because of Stefani, and it even more obvious now that was never happening. After her stint as a coach during season 9, Stefani left the show to work on her album This Is What The Truth Feels Like, which was released the following year.
“Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts Feud Forcing Hollywood To Choose Sides?” Gossip Cop, 27 Oct. Gaga is the latest celebrity being pitted against Roberts, but there’s simply no feud between the two. Gossip Cop also recently debunked a story about Roberts fighting with Reese Witherspoon over her niece, Emma Roberts. 2018. (Getty Images)
Are Julia Roberts and Lady Gaga feuding? Meanwhile, if the tabloids were to be believed, Roberts is at war with nearly every celebrity in Hollywood. 2019. Shuster, Andrew. “Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock Making Movie Together?” Gossip Cop, 8 Nov. Roberts’ other famous opponents over the years, according to the tabloids, have included Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence. According to Life & Style, the actress snubbed the singer at the Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this month. That’s because it never happened. Gossip Cop recently called out NW for alleging Roberts was feuding with Jennifer Aniston over who’s new TV series would be a bigger hit. 2018. Prior to that, Gossip Cop shot down a tabloid story claiming Gwyneth Paltrow was furious at Roberts for hanging out with her ex-husband, Chris Martin. Shortly before that, another magazine wrongly reported Roberts was making a movie with Sandra Bullock after ending their supposed feud. That’s the bogus rumor being spread in the tabloids. The actress’s countless fights with other stars are flat-out fictional. Gossip Cop can debunk the nonexistent drama. Shuster, Andrew. “Gwyneth Paltrow NOT ‘Fuming’ Over Julia Roberts ‘Choosing’ Chris Martin’s Side, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 23 Oct. In reality, the two singers have publicly supported each other’s shows. “Julia Roberts Warned Reese Witherspoon To Stay Away From Niece Emma Roberts?” Gossip Cop, 26 Nov. Also, Life & Style seems to enjoy throwing the singer into fake feuds with other celebrities. Shuster, Andrew. 2018. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Gaga was battling with Gwen Stefani over the popularity of their Las Vegas residencies. Gossip Cop, however, checked in with sources close to the situation, and no one was aware of any friction between Roberts and Gaga. 2018. A supposed source tells the magazine that Roberts “walked up and hugged” Gaga’s A Star Is Born co-star Bradley Cooper, “and completely ignored Gaga next to him.” The alleged insider goes on to say the singer “seemed annoyed that Julia wasn’t singing her praises,” adding, “Approval from Julia would mean that Gaga has officially been accepted as an actress, but Julia thinks Gaga is overrated.” NW regurgitated the phony report without bothering to do any fact-checking. Shuster, Andrew. It’s worth noting, dozens of entertainment news outlets covered the Critics’ Choice Awards, but no other publication has reported the incident described above. The story made little sense, considering that Roberts’ Amazon show debuted last year, while Aniston’s upcoming Apple series is still in production. “Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga Feuding?” Gossip Cop, 12 Jan. Shuster, Andrew. Regardless, a rep for Aniston assured us the story was nonsense.
Gwen thinks Blake is making lame excuses after three years together.” The questionable tipster adds, “They haven’t broken up, but things are pretty tense and emotional.”
Nothing about this story is remotely true. Gossip Cop, however, checked in with Stefani’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the article is entirely “untrue.” Despite what the tabloid’s seemingly imaginary insider says, the singer’s rep confirms that she’s not pregnant and never had a wedding in the works. Dennis Dennehy, Spokesperson for Gwen Stefani. 2018. The tabloid’s various articles about the couple have more in common with fan fiction and soap operas than journalism. Simply put, the pop star didn’t call off nonexistent wedding plans. Magazine
Zauzmer, Emily. According to OK!, the singer recently got pregnant following several rounds of IVF treatments and was planning to marry her boyfriend on his Oklahoma ranch, but that all changed when he “started acting distant and noncommittal about finalizing the details.” A supposed source tells the magazine that Shelton eventually “admitted he had cold feet after two failed marriages,” and Stefani decided “to nix the wedding.”
“She’s been in tears ever since,” adds the magazine’s supposed source. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk it. The story is completely made-up. One month before that, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for making up a story about Shelton and Stefani having twins. has trouble keeping track of its phony stories about the couple. 9 Jan. “Part of it could be pregnancy hormones, but she’s also nursing a broken heart. “Blake Shelton Did NOT ‘Dump’ Gwen Stefani, Despite Tabloid Cover Story.” Gossip Cop, 30 Aug. 2017. As for the baby rumors, the unreliable outlet fails to mention that Stefani is performing her Las Vegas residency through November. “Just a Girl: Las Vegas.” Wikipedia. Weiss, Shari. It’s absurd to believe she’ll be singing and dancing on stage every night throughout her supposed pregnancy. It’s worth noting, OK! For starters, Stefani said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last month that she and Shelton aren’t engaged. Gossip Cop busted the publication in January 2018 for wrongly reporting that Stefani was already pregnant and married to Shelton. 2019. This latest article surrounding a pregnancy and canceled wedding is more fiction. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton ‘Twins’ Tabloid Cover Story Made Up.” Gossip Cop, 26 Jul. In August 2017, the outlet falsely claimed that Shelton had “dumped” Stefani. It’s clear the outlet doesn’t have any real sources close to Stefani and Shelton, or it wouldn’t keep concocting bogus reports about their romance. “Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant Or Married To Blake Shelton, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 31 Jan. Gaga launched her Enigma show at the Park MGM resort on December 28, while Stefani has been performing her Just a Girl residency at the Planet Hollywood resort since last June. Just one month before that, the outlet alleged Stefani and Shelton’s relationship was “in trouble.” Neither of those conflicting storylines were true. 2018. The outlet notes that celebrities such as Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Renner and Dave Grohl attended the opening night of Gaga’s show, while Stefani “struggled to attract the same A-list-caliber crowd the previous night.” This premise is very flawed. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Relationship In Trouble?” Gossip Cop, 24 Dec. The tabloid teases this story on its cover with the headline, “Gaga vs. Naturally, there was more star power at the opening night of Gaga’s Vegas show than at one of Stefani’s random performances six months into her run. The night after Gaga’s first performance, the No Doubt singer said during her own show, “I gotta shout out to Lady Gaga, who has opened on the Strip.”
Additionally, the magazine’s article is based on claims from an anonymous and seemingly nonexistent “insider.” Gossip Cop, however, reached out to a rep for both stars. Stefani and Gaga’s spokesperson, who’s authorized to speak on behalf of both singers, assures us there’s no feud between the two women. In reality, Stefani showed support for Gaga on Twitter the night her residency launched on December 28. Katsilometes, John. Gx.” 28 Dec. (Getty Images)
Are Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga feuding over the popularity of their Las Vegas residencies? This latest one involving a so-called “feud” with Gaga is more fiction. We’re further told they are supportive of one another’s Vegas residencies, and this tale of drama and jealousy is simply “untrue.”
It’s worth noting, when Life & Style isn’t busy making up stories about Stefani’s supposed professional rivalries, the magazine publishes lies about her love life. Shuster, Andrew. “Gwen Stefani shouts to Lady Gaga in wild Las Vegas show.” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 30 Dec. 2018. 2018. One of this week’s tabloids claims the two singers are in a bitter “rivalry.” Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can exclusively set the record straight. 2018. Gwen: Nasty Feud Explodes!” This is a major oversell. The article itself simply says Stefani is threatened by the fellow performer, but that idea isn’t accurate either. Last month, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for falsely claiming Stefani was expecting twin girls with Blake Shelton. 11 Jan. The comparison is absurd. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Expecting Twins Girls?” Gossip Cop, 12 Dec. According to Life & Style, the No Doubt singer isn’t happy about the competition.
In fact, despite the more recent claim about how she supposedly didn’t want her boyfriend to pop the question, the blog published a piece in November with the contradictory headline,“Gwen Stefani Wants An Engagement Ring From Blake Shelton As Their 3rd Anniversary Approaches.” And in that equally fabricated tale, one of the outlet’s unidentifiable sources said, “A ring would truly be the best Christmas present for Gwen.”
That, however, is just one of many, many lies from HollywoodLife. Additionally, Gossip Cop has been told by the No Doubt singer’s rep how no one in her camp deals with that outlet because it fabricates articles about her. This past August, for example, the site ran with an absurdly untrue piece that claimed Shelton and Stefani had been secretly married for six months. (Apparently, HollywoodLies forgot how it inaccurately alleged in 2016 how Stefani was already wearing an engagement ring from Shelton.) And, as noted above, the same undependable outlet also maintained it had learned from its nameless sources that Stefani and Shelton had split up. Of course, Gossip Cop is talking about HollywoodLife, which is nicknamed HollywoodLies because it frequently posts articles with manufactured premises from unnamed sources that ultimately prove to be untrue. Lewittes, Michael. Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors Gwen Stefani HollywoodLife
“Gwen Stefani ‘Relieved’ Blake Shelton Didn’t Propose On Christmas Is Made-Up Story.” Gossip Cop, 27 Dec. 2018. Robidoux, Brandy. Shuster, Andrew. Weiss, Shari. “Gwen Stefani Engagement Ring Claim NOT True.” Gossip Cop, 16 May 2016. Not to belabor it much more, but Gossip Cop also busted the untrustworthy blog when it posted an article in February that incorrectly claimed Shelton was buying Stefani an engagement ring and proposing on Valentine’s Day. At this point, it should be abundantly clear no genuine insiders are feeding the often wrong blog with information about the couple. 2017. “Blake Shelton Shopping For Diamond Ring For Gwen Stefani, Proposing On Valentine’s Day Is Made-Up.” Gossip Cop, 6 Feb 2018. In that same article, HollywoodLies, which now asserts they’re in no “rush to get married,” quite pointedly contended then, “Blake and Gwen want to tie the knot asap.”
It seems the website doesn’t have legitimate (or perhaps any) Shelton and Stefani sources. Lewittes, Michael. While the outlet predicated its aforementioned bogus tales on undisclosed (and quite possibly fictitious) sources, Gossip Cop has been reassured over and over by Stefani’s rep that the website’s articles are simply untrue. Dennis Dennehy, spokesperson for Gwen Stefani. In no particular order, the reason HollywoodLies didn’t get a response from Stefani’s rep is because the spokesperson told Gossip Cop on the record just a few weeks ago, “I pretend they don’t exist.” And the reason for that is because the site regularly makes up phony stories about her. To be sure, HollywoodLies has also falsely reported Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. “HollywoodLife’s Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Stories Are Bullsplit.” Gossip Cop, 20 Apr. Brow, Jason. 2018. The latest story about whether Stefani and Shelton will get married in 2019 is yet another example of that site pretending to have insight when it really has none. (Getty Images)
A new story about whether Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will get married this year is completely made-up. Almost comically, the habitually disproven blog then refers to an article it concocted and which Gossip Cop debunked about how Stefani was “really glad [Shelton] didn’t propose on Christmas.” The outlet ends its made-up report by noting how it “did not immediately hear back” from Shelton and Stefani’s reps. Report Claims They’re In Wedded Bliss.” HollywoodLife, 22 Aug. “Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Reportedly Planning Romantic Mexican Summer Wedding & A Baby.” HollywoodLife, 4 Apr. 2018. 2018. A few months earlier in April, the unreliable outlet posted a story that falsely maintained Shelton and Stefani were having a “summer wedding” and a baby. “Gwen Stefani Wants An Engagement Ring From Blake Shelton As Their 3rd Anniversary Approaches.” HollywoodLife, 1 Nov. As expected, the website hinges its entire story on an anonymous and purposely untraceable “source,” who for its current narrative is quoted as saying the couple doesn’t have “any real desire to get married,” adding how neither is in a “rush to marry anytime soon.”
The latest conceit for why they’re not married or engaged (though HollywoodLies previously claimed they were headed for both) is that the singers are “so busy” these days. Harper, Kathleen. “Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Secretly Married For 6 Mos.? And while it’s a new year, it appears the repeatedly discredited blog is up to its old tricks, having published a purely speculative piece about whether or not Shelton and Stefani will tie the knot in 2019.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are not expecting twin girls, despite a false tabloid report. That never happened. As recently as August, we busted the magazine for falsely claiming that Stefani was a “pregnant bride.” The singer isn’t even engaged to her boyfriend and they’re still not expecting a baby together. One month before that, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming that Stefani and Shelton were having a baby girl. From there, the supposed insider claims Stefani and Shelton are keeping the baby news to themselves, but “word is spreading fast” among their friends that they’re expecting. 2018. This latest report is yet more fiction. 12 Dec. Naturally, the publication never acknowledges having gotten the story wrong so many times in the past. In November 2017, the outlet made up a story about Stefani “rocking a baby bump” on Thanksgiving. “Gwen Stefani NOT ‘Pregnant Bride’ And Marrying Blake Shelton, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 29 Aug. Dennis Dennehy, Spokesperson for Gwen Stefani. “He brings her herbal tea and an extra pillow for her feet when she needs it,” says the suspicious source, who goes on to say that Stefani is caring for herself by “getting enough protein and calcium in her diet from things like salmon and broccoli.” It’s worth noting, these same exact quotes were lifted from an October story in Star, which said Stefani was having a “miracle baby” at 49. The outlet has published several other pregnancy reports that predate the examples above, going as far back as 2015. Weiss, Shari. An alleged insider tells Life & Style that the famous couple “have been struggling with in vitro fertilization for the past 16 months, but it’s finally paid off. Getting pregnant with one child, boy or girl, would have been a blessing, but two is definitely a gift.” The supposed source adds, “They’re calling it their Christmas miracle!”

Hines, Ree. Also completely wrong was a Life & Style cover story last year that falsely asserted Stefani married Shelton in a secret wedding. But it becomes even more obvious the tabloid fabricated its article in the next couple of sentences. (Getty Images)
Is Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship in trouble? According to Life & Style, even though Shelton declared “I love her” about Stefani while accepting an award in front of millions of viewers of the People’s Choice Awards on November 11, “when the cameras weren’t around, it was another story.” And in an attempt to prove its made-up premise, the outlet quotes a so-called “eyewitness” as saying, “Normally, this couple would be all over each other, flirting, laughing, but not this time.” Wait, how would a one-time “eyewitness” at an event be qualified to comment about how Stefani and Shelton “normally” exhibit their affection? “Blake Shelton raves ‘I love her!’ as Gwen Stefani joins him on People’s Choice stage.” Today, 12 Nov. That was clearly untrue. 2018. The magazine has its seemingly manufactured “eyewitness” say in unnaturally expository language, “Even though they sat together at the same table, they had Carson [Daly] sit in between them. There were no TV cameras there, just two people who had their families celebrate the holiday together because they love one another. That’s the claim one of this week’s tabloids would like its readers to believe. And what are the chances a random “eyewitness” would know how old each singer is? “Gwen Stefani Did NOT ‘Rock A Baby Bump’ On Thanksgiving With Blake Shelton, Despite Claim.” Gossip Cop, 24 Nov. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton NOT Married, Secret Wedding Cover Story Is Fake News.” Gossip Cop, 5 July 2017. Weiss, Shari. Evans, Morgan M. But it’s untrue. 2018. In the real world, however, Shelton said “I love her” and kissed Stefani at the PCAs because their relationship is real and rock solid. Weiss, Shari. Gossip Cop can debunk this false narrative. The only verifiable “trouble” is the tabloid’s accuracy when it comes reporting about the happily involved couple. 2018. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton enjoy Flamin’ Hot Cheeto turkey on Thanksgiving.” Page Six, 23 Nov. Naturally, the publication doesn’t reconcile how just three months ago it contended Stefani is going to marry Shelton and be a “pregnant bride” with its previous claims of them having already wed, or the current one about there being “trouble in paradise.” Despite the tabloid’s terrible track record and the inaccurate and almost assuredly fabricated “eyewitness” quotes, Gossip Cop still checked in with Shelton and Stefani sources, who dismissed the outlet’s latest article as entirely off-base. Gossip Cop will take the words and actions of Shelton and Stefani over an unnamed “eyewitness” whose remarks come off as contrived and fake. 2017. The only times Gwen, 49, and Blake, 42, interacted at all was when the camera was on them.” What real person would, in the course of normal speech, mention people’s ages? On Thursday, Shelton and Stefani once again celebrated Thanksgiving together at his ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where they ate Flamin’ Hot Cheeto-crusted turkey. “Gwen Stefani NOT “Pregnant Bride” And Marrying Blake Shelton, Despite Report” Gossip Cop, 29 Aug. Logically, if Shelton and Stefani were only concerned about appearances, they would have sat right next to each other. Weiss, Shari. Equally odd is the magazine’s “eyewitness” noting that after Shelton won the Country Artist of 2018 award, he gave Stefani a kiss because “he knew the cameras were on him,” and that Daly also gave him a smooch because “he was acting as some kind of mediator.” Huh? Additionally, why would Daly sitting “in between them” be some sort of smoking gun that there’s “trouble in paradise”?
As widely reported, the No Doubt singer publicly stated on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that she thinks about marrying her boyfriend “all the time.” But the claim about her wanting Shelton to pop the question on their anniversary is nothing more than speculation from a site that has previously maintained wrongly the couple split up, is secretly married, and was getting engaged last Valentine’s Day. For instance, we busted the habitually wrong outlet when it falsely asserted Stefani and Shelton had split up in 2017. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton NOT Skipping Engagement To Elope, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 7 Apr. 2018. Lewittes, Michael. Over the summer, Gossip Cop nailed the frequently disproven site when it claimed Shelton and Stefani were on the same page about “putting off an engagement.” It’s also hard to forget that HollywoodLies alleged in June that its sources were saying Stefani and Shelton were having a “summer wedding.” And what happened to Stefani and Shelton’s baby the outlet swore she was pregnant with in May? Regardless, all those articles and many more are simply falsehoods. Gossip Cop has as well, and when we asked for guidance about this latest tall tale, and the outlet’s penchant for making up stories about Stefani, her rep told us, “I pretend they don’t exist.” That seems like a reasonable response, since HollywoodLies pretends they have legitimate Stefani and Shelton sources. Interestingly, the website says it has “reached out to a rep” for Stefani. As Gossip Cop has previously mentioned, HollywoodLife is not a reliable source of information about Shelton and Stefani. 2017. To recap: The website claimed Stefani and Shelton were getting engaged on “their 3 year anniversary in November,” though what that date is was unknown to the serial fibbers at the blog. Either the “source close” to Stefani, who furnished the website with all these untrue stories is either not that close or, as suspected by some, HollywoodLies just makes up these fictitious tales because it values traffic over the truth. We also exposed the blog when it lied about Shelton proposing to Stefani this past Valentine’s Day with a $500,000 engagement ring. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani ‘Putting Off Engagement’ Is Fake News Story.” Gossip Cop, 11 July 2018. “HollywoodLife’s Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Stories Are Bullsplit.” Gossip Cop, 20 Apr. “Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant With Blake Shelton’s Baby, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 25 May 2018. A new story about Gwen Stefani wanting an engagement ring from Blake Shelton on their third anniversary is completely made-up. Lewittes, Michael. Of course, if that blog truly had any insight, it was know what date specifically is their third anniversary rather than vaguely stating that it’s “in November.” To give the impression its story is based on “reporting,” the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies alleges it has a “source close” to Stefani who contends, “She is hoping this anniversary or holiday season, Blake surprises her with a ring.” You’ll note the subtle inclusion of the words “or holiday season,” which is a way to buy the outlet extra time, all in the hopes Shelton proposes sometime over the next 60 days. The latest (not entirely implausible) guess from HollywoodLife is that Stefani is hoping Shelton proposes on their anniversary. Weiss, Shari. Weiss, Shari. The often discredited site further covers its bases, first by stating Stefani would like to be engaged on “their 3 year anniversary in November,” and then later by offering, “A ring would truly be the best Christmas present for Gwen.” The blog adds how the singer “prays it is only a matter of time before he asks.” Actually, if appears HollywoodLies is praying it’s soon, so that it doesn’t get caught again fabricating yet another story. It should also be noted that by the end of its current article, HollywoodLies backs away even more from its original premise and blathers about how “regardless of whether they plan on trying the knot,” Shelton and Stefani are committed to one another. Curiously, HollywoodLies also doesn’t explain how it maintained last spring that Stefani and Shelton were going to skip an engagement and just elope. 2018. 2018. Next, the outlet said an engagement ring would be “the best Christmas present for Gwen.” And finally it fudged again, and offered that irrespective of whether or not the couple gets engaged, they still love one another. “Blake Shelton Never Proposed To Gwen Stefani On Valentine’s Day, Despite Claim.” Gossip Cop, 16 Feb. Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors Gwen Stefani HollywoodLife
Dennis Dennehy, spokesperson for Gwen Stefani, 1 Nov. And while Stefani’s rep doesn’t deal with that site because it manufactures phony reports, once again we’re told no one “close” to the singer is sharing anything related to engagement news with that untrustworthy blog.
2017. In that same footage, Shelton called her an “icon” and expressed if one were to take “some advice from anybody on the planet, if you’re a singer, I’d listen to Mariah Carey.” Additionally, Levine told the singing superstar, “It’s so good working with you,” while Hudson could be seen sharing with Carey that collaborating alongside her was “my favorite ‘Voice’ moment ever.” Those are hardly comments from people who were “furious” that Carey was hired for a couple of episodes. “Jennifer Hudson NOT Getting Fired From ‘The Voice’ Over ‘Diva Behavior,’ Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 9 Nov. Among the many inaccurate reports Gossip Cop has busted was a tale from more than 18 months ago that falsely contended Shelton and Gwen Stefani were faking their relationship for “The Voice” cameras. The coaches themselves gushed about Carey’s participation on the “The Voice.”
In a YouTube video from “The Voice” a few days ago, Clarkson admitted she was “freaking out” because Carey was her key advisor. 2018. (Getty Images)
“The Voice” coaches were not “furious” Mariah Carey was hired to be a key advisor on the singing competition show, despite a new report. Of course, the website isn’t that reliable when it comes to stories about the singing competition series. 2018. For starters, the article makes it sound as if Carey has yet to work on the singing series, with phrases such as “no one wants her to join” and “they don’t want the drama and stress she brings to shows.” But Carey has already taped her appearances for next week’s episodes, and they were 100 percent drama- and stress-free. “John Legend will join The Voice as a coach in season 16.” Entertainment Weekly, 13 Sept. Basically, whoever came up with the website’s phony narrative didn’t do his or her homework. Shuster, Andrew. “Mariah Carey Announces ‘Caution’ World Tour.” Billboard, 22 Oct. Weiss, Shari. “Mariah Carey Is Here and the Coaches are Losing Their Minds.” ‘The Voice’ on YouTube, 25 Oct. While it’s NBC’s policy not to comment about certain aspects of the competition series, a source involved with the show exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “Everyone loved her” and was “so excited.” But don’t believe us. Additionally, the “Hero” singer wouldn’t be around anyway for next season’s tryouts because Carey will be on her Caution World Tour around that time. 2018. 2017. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct that claim. According to RadarOnline, the coaches on “The Voice” are “furious” Carey was hired because “no one wants her to join” the program. Another of that blog’s blunders which we corrected was when it wrongly asserted about a year ago that Hudson was being “fired” from “The Voice.” Maybe RadarOnline should be “furious” with its sources who have repeatedly fed the site bogus information about “The Voice.”
Celebrity Rumors Mariah Carey RadarOnline The Voice
Holub, Christian. And the claim that Carey is angling “to be a coach next season” similarly underscores how little the site knows about “The Voice.” It was announced a full month ago that John Legend would be joining Shelton, Levine and Clarkson for Season 16 in the spring of 2019. The often discredited website quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “They privately voiced their opinions and they were all overturned by NBC.” The blog’s alleged insider goes on to maintain it was “unanimous” that they didn’t want her on the program, and they now “feel their voices don’t matter.” The purported tipster adds, “They don’t want the drama and stress she brings to shows she’s on.”
The site’s ill-informed “source” also contends Hudson, Clarkson, Levine and Shelton “don’t think the show needs another famous name as an advisor given they already have four big celebs.” The tipster further alleges Carey wants to be “more full time as a coach,” and is using her stint on the program as an audition “to be a coach next season.”
There’s so much wrong in the story it’s almost difficult to know where to begin. On the contrary, not only has Gossip Cop learned from an NBC insider it’s untrue, but coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson have done nothing but sang Carey’s praises. Pedrosa, Marina. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Faking Relationship For ‘The Voice’ Cameras?” Gossip Cop, 7 Apr.

Not enough proof that HollywoodLies has no insight into the two singers’ lives and that it just manufacture bogus articles as it goes along? Basically, the site can “dress up” its falsehoods in a variety of different way, but they’re still untrue. Now for a little dressing down: HollywoodLife makes up fake stories about Stefani and Shelton a lot. Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors Gwen Stefani Halloween HollywoodLife
Shuster, Andrew. 2018. After noting how the couple “celebrated Halloween early,” with the No Doubt singer dressed as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Shelton in a sailor’s costume, the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies maintains it has exclusively learned the country singer loves Stefani “dressing up.” To pretend its seemingly made-up story is legitimate, the often discredited blog quotes an unnamed and probably fabricated “source” as saying, “Gwen loves to dress up and Blake loves when she does… it definitely adds some extra spice to their relationship.”
Of course, if this were true, the outlet would furnish other examples of when Stefani dressed up to Shelton’s delight. (Getty Images)
A new report about how Blake Shelton loves when Gwen Stefani “plays dress up” is made-up. Gossip Cop can expose how a site manufactured this claim, all based on photos of Stefani and Shelton wearing costumes for a Halloween party. While numerous other outlets simply reported how Stefani and Shelton dressed up for a Halloween party, HollywoodLies took it another step to claim the country singer loves when his girlfriend gets dolled up in costume because it adds “spice” to their romance. “Blake Shelton NOT Pushing Gwen Stefani To Make Joint Album, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 15 Oct. But it doesn’t. The only fertile then and now is the imaginations of the creative writers at that site. Just a few days ago, Gossip Cop caught the blog in a lie when it falsely contended Shelton was pushing Stefani to make a joint album. It’s also the very same outlet, based on yet another one of its untraceable and seemingly phony sources, that swore up and down Shelton and Stefani were going to have a “summer wedding.” Clearly, the summer wedding never happened. And while it made that contention, it didn’t offer one other instance of that to back up its premise. Once again, HollywoodLife has taken an actual event and used it as the basis for a completely concocted premise. Shortly before that whopper, the habitually disproven site asserted Shelton and Stefani had plans to do a reality TV show together. And that’s because the narrative is phony and entirely crafted around new, widely published photos of them in costume. Once again, a rep told Gossip Cop the site was telling tall tales. OK, back in May the website asserted Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. Much like this latest article, the site alleged it had a reliable, albeit anonymous, “source.” But Stefani’s own rep went on to record to tell Gossip Cop that website’s report was untrue. Additionally, we’ve been told no one in the country singer’s camp is leaking stories to blogs.
4 Sep. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. By saying Shelton wants to make a joint album and Stefani doesn’t, the website won’t be caught lying when they never release a record together. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the blog for falsely claiming that Shelton and Stefani were doing a reality show together. HollywoodLife, which frequently publishes lies about the famous couple, quotes a so-called “source” as saying that Shelton wants him and Stefani to become “a modern version of Johnny and June Cash, so they can work together and tour together.” However, the website conveniently backpedals by saying that the No Doubt singer “may not be onboard with Blake’s idea.”
The alleged insider continues, “Gwen is a little more realistic though, and she wonders how they could meld their very different music styles together, because she wants to always remain authentic.” The suspicious tipster further contends that Shelton “constantly brings it up,” but his girlfriend isn’t sold on the idea as of now. “Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Do NOT Have “New TV Show Plans,” Despite Claim.” Gossip Cop. “Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Collaborate on New Christmas Song.” Us Weekly. Regardless, the site’s story is based on claims from an anonymous and seemingly nonexistent “source,” but Gossip Cop checked in with Stefani’s rep, who tells us on the record that the report is false. Stefani and Shelton collaborated on the title track of her 2017 holiday album You Make It Feel Like Christmas. We’re told it’s fabricated. It’s worth noting, it doesn’t make much sense to say that Stefani isn’t open to combining their music styles together. This latest article surrounding a joint album is more fiction from the unreliable website. Weiss, Shari. News. No such project is in the works. Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time we’ve had to call out HollywoodLife for pretending to have insight into the couple’s career plans. 2018. 21 Sep. (Getty Images)
Blake Shelton is not pushing Gwen Stefani to make a joint album, despite a made-up report. The couple also collaborated on the song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on Shelton’s 2016 album If I’m Honest. The blog, however, never bothers to mention that the two have made music together before. 2018. “Gwen Stefani Talks Collaborating With Blake Shelton, Reveals Most Difficult Part About Releasing Her New Album.” E! 2017. Additionally, when Stefani was asked in 2016 about the possibility of making a duet album with Shelton, she responded, “In my dreams…” It’s clear the singer isn’t at all averse to the idea of making an entire record with her boyfriend. The blog is attempting to have it both ways. Regardless of Stefani’s feelings on the matter, the singer’s spokesperson confirms that Shelton isn’t “pushing” her to make an album.
As noted above, Lambert and Felker broke up last month. “Blake Shelton Says He Does ‘Think About’ Marrying Gwen Stefani Just Not ‘Any Time Soon.’” People, 16 Apr. 2018. 2018
Gwen Stefani on Instagram: “@blakeshelton #countrymusicfreakstour gx.” 14 Mar. As we’ve noted in the past, Shelton has said he thinks about marrying Stefani, but doesn’t see it happening “any time soon.”
Back in March, In Touch made up a story about Lambert and Shelton supporting each other amid breakups with their respective significant others. Gossip Cop called out Celebrity Insider in August for falsely claiming that Lambert had sent a congratulatory note to ex-husband Blake Shelton for his so-called “secret wedding” to Gwen Stefani. In August, Gossip Cop busted OK! The passage of time completely disproved magazine’s story. Around the same time the article emerged, Stefani shared an Instagram photo of Shelton kissing her on stage. Lambert didn’t need to support her ex-husband amid a nonexistent split. The tabloid claimed the singer believed her ex-husband was being “petty” and “obnoxious” by launching a business in her area. Fernandez, Alexia. Also in August, Gossip Cop busted the cover of Life & Style for falsely claiming that Lambert was having a “wedding and a baby” with Felker. It was said the two were planing their nuptials for either Christmas or New Year’s Eve, and had been trying to have a child together for months. His decision to open a restaurant there had noting to do with his ex-wife, who wasn’t at all upset by the situation. “Miranda’s told friends that she would love nothing more than to walk down the aisle pregnant,” an alleged insider told the tabloid. Around the same time the phony story was published, Lambert and Felker split. Additionally, there are a ton of country musicians who own restaurants and businesses in Nashville, which is known as the capital of country music. And finally, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style in February for falsely claiming that Lambert was upset about Shelton opening a restaurant near her home in Nashville. (Getty Images)
Miranda Lambert is often the subject of bogus tabloid stories. It’s clear the magazine just manufactured the report out of thin air. 2018. Here are five recent wrong rumors. “Miranda Lambert, Evan Felker Split: I’m ‘Happily Single.’” Us Weekly, 25 Aug. Only, the country star and his girlfriend aren’t married, so Lambert didn’t congratulate him on a nonexistent milestone. The magazine claimed the pair tied the knot at her Tennessee estate, and the two were planning to start a family. But while it was true that Lambert split from boyfriend Anderson East earlier this year, Shelton has remained with Stefani, despite the outlet’s claim otherwise. for wrongly reporting that Lambert had gotten secretly married to musician Evan Felker. Celebrity Rumors Miranda Lambert
Briese, Nicole. However, Shelton moved to Nashville when he was 17 and has had a presence in the area for a long time. Gossip Cop has debunked many false claims about the singer as of late.
Towards the beginning of its article, HollywoodLies writes, “Although there’s been rumors that the two could already be married, there’s been no official confirmation yet.” OK, any reliable entertainment outlet would know, as Gossip Cop has repeatedly reported, that despite tabloid claims, Shelton and Stefani are not married. 2018. And lastly, though we could cite dozens of other bogus reports, Gossip Cop shot down yet another fake news story from HollywoodLife in June that wrongly asserted Stefani and Shelton were having a “summer wedding.”
In each of these cases, HollywoodLies based its contentions on (quite purposely) unnamed and untraceable sources, sometimes alleged to be “close” to Stefani. While it’s true the couple is in love, and clearly hopes to stay forever a couple, a report claiming to have exclusive details is simply made-up, featuring obvious assumptions and seemingly fabricated quotations. (Getty Images)
A new story about how Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton “plan to grow old together” is nothing more than fan fiction. Dennis Dennehy, spokesperson for Gwen Stefani. And in every one of those reports and so many more, the website was indisputably 100 percent wrong and its assertions were possibly just fabricated. Blake Shelton Celebrity Rumors Fake News Gwen Stefani HollywoodLife
“Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton ‘Miracle Baby’ Made Up By Tabloid.” Gossip Cop, 4 Oct. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton ‘Summer Wedding’ Suspected By Friends Is Fake News.” Gossip Cop, 12 June 2018. Conversely, Gossip Cop provided on-the-record remarks from Stefani’s own spokesperson, who honestly and accurately refuted the outlet’s tall tales. Once again, if you’re interested in fan or other sorts of fiction, that blog posts plenty of it. First, Gossip Cop will examine the blog’s latest bogus story, and then we’ll point out a handful of other articles the outlet has published about Shelton and Stefani that prove it either has the worst sources ever for the couple, or it doesn’t actually have any reliable insiders connected to them at all. “Somehow it feels more like MY birthday everyday.. On Stefani’s 49th birthday on Wednesday, Shelton posted a photo on Instagram and Twitter of his girlfriend, along with a caption that read, in part, “I love you!!!”
Basically, the website doesn’t have any inside scoop. Lewittes, Michael. Right off the bat, it’s readily apparent that the website doesn’t even have decent enough sources to know whether or not they had a secret wedding. It should be clear the piece is completely made-up. So, the premise of the current article is that Stefani and Shelton, who have been inseparable for nearly three years and have openly spoken about marriage, “plan to grow old together.” Of course, the real question is: What couple that’s devoted to each other and freely expresses its love plans to breakup or decides to split after an appointed period of time? 2018. Since no one wants to read a 10,000 treatise on all the untrue stories published by that website, Gossip Cop will just offer a few examples from the past year-and-a-half. But if you want facts and the truth, there’s only one Gossip Cop. Happy Birthday @gwenstefani!!! “Gwen Stefani NOT Pregnant With Blake Shelton’s Baby, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 25 May 2018. Shelton, Blake. The report comes from HollywoodLife, a site so well-known for manufacturing stories that it’s often referred to as HollywoodLies. Gossip Cop can expose the outlet behind the concocted article. Weiss, Shari. 2018. In April 2017, for instance, Gossip Cop busted the untrustworthy outlet after it posted an inaccurate piece titled, “Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Split: Why She Dumped Him After Nearly 2 Years.” We also nailed the blog earlier this year when it falsely maintained Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. Further proving our point, the often discredited blog quotes a so-called “source close to Gwen” as saying, “If Gwen and Blake are married they’re going way out of their way to hide it.” Frankly, a real “source close to Gwen” would know one way or the other and, in fact, the No Doubt singer’s rep told Gossip Cop on the record just three days ago that claims about they being married are “not true.” Next, the seemingly manufactured “source” adds, “Gwen truly sees herself growing old with Blake… she does believe in marriage.” That’s hardly a revelation considering Stefani told Ellen DeGeneres and millions of viewers she thinks of marrying the country singer “all the time.”
After that no-brainer comment, the repeatedly disgraced website’s purported source offers how they are “in love with each other.” HollywoodLies has about as much insight as, say, anyone with working internet and social media. “Gwen Stefani Addresses Blake Shelton Marriage Rumors” on the ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’ YouTube, 10 Apr. “HollywoodLife’s Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Stories Are Bullsplit.” Gossip Cop, 20 Apr. I love you!!!” Instagram, 3 Oct. 2017. HollywoodLies has been so provably and publicly wrong about them on so many occasions, it’s surprising anyone would truly look to that site for legitimate information about Stefani and Shelton. It’s simply pretending it has dish from a Stefani “source” when, in reality, the seemingly nonexistent individual offers nothing about her and Shelton that doesn’t apply to other longterm couples, which is they ideally “plan” to grow old together. Lewittes, Michael.
2018. First, it would seem like a big leap for her to have a child with a guy who’s just a “rebound romance.” Second and more importantly, it underscores just how unreliable the magazine’s Stefani sources are. That’s significant for two reasons. 2018. 2015. As Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, the No Doubt singer is very much in love with Blake Shelton. Sager, Jessica. Regardless, we’re assured the story involving her ex-husband is “untrue.”
According to a National Enquirer article, Stefani is “harboring a shocking secret,” which so-called “pals” insist is that she “still loves her cheating ex.” An alleged “source” tells the supermarket tabloid that “she can’t stand Gavin,” and thinks he’s “selfish” and “isn’t pulling his weight” when it comes to being a father to their three sons, and yet feels he’s still the “love of her life.” The anonymous and possibly nonexistent “insider” continues, “Her feelings for [Rossdale] are stronger than any she’ll ever feel for Blake,” adding how she would take him back “in a minute,” if circumstances were different. More than a year ago, the tabloid swore up and down that Stefani was pregnant with Shelton’s baby. 2017. Much like that article, the latest one, which claims Stefani would take Rossdale “back in a minute,” is also provably false. Stefani, Gwen. In the article, Shelton was referenced as simply a “rebound romance.” The two met in 2014 and Shelton, and Stefani began their romance in 2015. Not surprisingly, the gossip magazine doesn’t mention who Stefani’s “pals” are who made these hard to fathom claims. Ungerman, Alex. If the claims sound a tad familiar, it’s because the magazine’s sister site, RadarOnline, posted a similar story just a few days ago that maintained Stefani was “still in love” with Rossdale. 2018. “Gwen Stefani Thinks about Marrying Blake Shelton.” New York Post, 10 Apr. “Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton: A Timeline of Their New Romance.” Entertainment Tonight, 6 Nov. After three years together, that’s not a “rebound romance.”
What’s more, while appearing on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” in April, Stefani admitted she thinks about marrying Shelton “all the time.” She also made clear that she and her kids “love him.” Those are hardly the words of someone who’s “still in love” with or would take back “in a minute” her ex-husband. “Gwen Stefani: Secrets Of Her Pregnancy At 47 Years Old.” National Enquirer, 7 Sept. Gossip Cop has busted several false tabloid stories this week after fact-checking their accuracy, but HollywoodLife instead spread many of these bogus articles online. HollywoodLife, however, picked up the inaccurate report and added a ridiculous line about Aniston and her trainer “getting steamy at the gym.” It’s simply not true. 22 Aug. 28 Mar. The tabloid decided to link her to the trainer after she used his name in an interview. But Gossip Cop spoke with a rep for the actress, who told us on the record that the romance claims are a “fabrication.” It seems the story was written simply because Aniston revealed in her September InStyle cover story that she started training with Azubuike last year. “Entertainment Tonight” reported in March that Stefani and Shelton were “not ready to get married.” In April, Shelton discussed the idea of marrying Stefani, admitting, “I think about it. Weiss, Shari. Gossip Cop busted both articles after doing some fact-checking, but HollywoodLife helped perpetuate the lies. News also confirmed that Jolie is “not dating” and is “very focused on her kids.” HollywoodLife, however, didn’t get the memo and regurgitated the bogus premise involving the nonexistent Brit. 23 Aug. These are just a few examples of how the website copies and circulates tabloid nonsense. See below how the outlet got the reports wrong.

Doesn’t the blog have a “source close to Blake”? A baggy T-shirt is just a baggy T-shirt.” Uh, Gossip Cop “squashed” that “rumor,” which was started by HollywoodLife itself, nearly three months ago, when the publication ridiculously tried to claim that a “baggy tee” was proof that Stefani was pregnant. Whether he ultimately will some day seems to be up in the air. “Gwen Stefani ‘Baggy Tee’ NOT Proof She’s Pregnant, Despite Claim.” Gossip Cop, 26 May 2018. 2016. Its latest article on the subject declares, “Blake Shelton Is ‘Against’ Having Kids With Gwen Stefani Right Now: Why His Feelings Changed.” Gossip Cop is going to be blunt: Shelton’s feelings didn’t “change.” Because he and Stefani still haven’t confirmed any plans for a child, HollywoodLife is changing its storyline. Weiss, Shari. The blog goes on to editorialize, “We’re confident Blake will come around.” That’s the set-up for when the site decides to swing the pendulum back the other way and start churning out stories again about how Stefani may be pregnant and Shelton is desperate to be a father. If that person actually existed, surely the site could find out whether or not they’re “secretly married.” And Gossip Cop isn’t sure what being together since 2015 has to do with it. Amid many false pregnancy reports, the blog has peddled stories specifically focusing on how Shelton is eager to have a baby with Stefani. And for the record, Shelton has never publicly said whether he’d like to have a baby with Stefani. Nelson, Jeff. After all, they’ve been together since 2015.”
Wait a second. For example, more than a year ago, a headline stated, “Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Planning On Having A Baby? 2018. This striking flip-flop underscores what Gossip Cop has said for years: HollywoodLife does not have real insight. This much is clear: HollywoodLife sure doesn’t know. In 2017, this same outlet even claimed in yet another phony “exclusive” about Shelton and Stefani, “One thing they often bring up is how they could be the modern-day Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and be together forever but never get married.” So this is another instance of the publication flip-flopping. In fact, the outlet has the gall to write, “Now we have to squash the rumors that Gwen’s secretly pregnant. The blog is claiming it “exclusively learned” that Shelton is “actually NOT ready for parenthood” and has “cold feet when it comes to becoming a dad.” Contends the site, “For months, the buzz has been that ‘The Voice’ judge couldn’t wait to have a baby… But it appears that the country singer got a wake-up call.” At no point does the outlet acknowledge that it manufactured all that “buzz.” And like with those past stories, this one is supposedly based on a “source close to Blake.”
The almost assuredly nonexistent tipster now claims, “Blake has had constant thoughts of being a father and when it gets to a fever pitch, he brings himself back to earth and decides against it.” The alleged “reason” why is that he has “his hands full with Gwen’s kids,” which means the publication fails to realize Shelton isn’t a full-time caregiver to Stefani’s sons. The website ultimately concludes, “Now, let’s shift our focus: Are Blake and Gwen secretly married? She and ex-husband Gavin Rossdale share custody 50-50, according to their divorce settlement, and even still, Shelton isn’t with Stefani 24/7 when she has the boys. Last fall, Shelton told People that parental “instincts” have kicked in thanks to the time he spends with Stefani’s sons, and in March, Shelton said that Stefani’s kids have showed him he’s “missed out” by not having children of his own. The website’s seemingly fake “source” goes on to assert that “the freedom of [Shelton’s] career is a big deterrent as well,” as if he’s suddenly busier than he’s been in past years. (Getty Images)
A website is suddenly claiming Blake Shelton is “against having kids” with Gwen Stefani after spreading story after story about the couple having a baby together. 2017. He Wants ‘A Girl.’”
Last September, nearly a year ago at this point, the outlet announced, “Blake Shelton Hoping For A Child With Gwen Stefani After Adam Levine’s Baby News.” Then this past April, there was another piece titled, “Blake Shelton Would Love To Have A Baby With Gwen Stefani.” And in May, the publication went as far as saying, “Blake Shelton & Gwen’s Baby Plans: ‘Surrogacy & Adoption’ Were Discussed On Mother’s Day.” (See screengrabs below.)
But this week, the website is suddenly reversing course. “Blake Shelton ‘Missed out on a Lot’ before Gwen Stefani’s Kids Came into His Life.” TODAY.com, 21 Mar.
Katsilometes, John. “It kinda builds your ego up when you walk into a room with Gwen. The magazine has also proven to be untrustworthy when it comes to rumors about “The Voice.” In fact, we previously busted this outlet for claiming Shelton and Stefani called off a wedding in part due to his supposed closeness to season 13 winner, Chloe Kohanski. TV Series).” Wikipedia. “Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Summer Wedding & Baby Report NOT True.” Gossip Cop, 4 Apr. Weiss, Shari. Life & Style claims in its new issue that although Shelton and Stefani “fell in love” thanks to the reality series, she has “no plans to return… for the good of their relationship.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Gwen and Blake don’t fight much at home, but when they were on ‘The Voice’ they disagreed and butted heads a lot.” Continues the tabloid’s untraceable source, “It didn’t always make for a great environment, and Blake told her he wasn’t sure it was a good idea for them to work together anymore.”
The magazine goes on to assert that “instead of signing up for another season,” Stefani embarked on her Las Vegas residency. To recap: The publication claims Stefani left “The Voice” and is refusing to return because of Shelton, even though he has repeatedly celebrated working with her and she has expressed her willingness to come back. “EXCLUSIVE: Blake Shelton on Gwen & Alicia Leaving ‘The Voice,’ Plus Why He’s Worried About Newbie Kelly Clarkson.” Entertainment Tonight, 23 May 2017. Kimble, Lindsay, and Brianne Tracy. You realize it’s not you, it’s her,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” in an interview. “Wrong Rumors About ‘The Voice’ Coaches.” Gossip Cop, 22 May 2018. If Shelton was the reason she didn’t return for seasons 13, 14 or 15, why is the publication only reporting this now? On the contrary, there is plenty of proof to contradict it. Being in the vicinity of her is unbelievable.”
Never has Shelton expressed any issue about working alongside Stefani, and contrary to the claim that the couple “butted heads a lot” on the show, they were always depicted playfully getting along. “But it’s still exciting at the same time. (NBC via Getty Images)
Is Blake Shelton the reason Gwen Stefani is no longer on “The Voice”? The outlet, however, is offering a very different narrative, one that doesn’t even make sense timing-wise. This further underscores that the tabloid’s reporting isn’t credible when it comes to Shelton and Stefani. “The Voice (U.S. She’s seen how spending every single second with your partner at home and at work can really ruin a relationship, and she wasn’t about to let that happen to her and Blake,” claims the supposed snitch. It’s not even logical in the context of Stefani’s Las Vegas residency, which launched in June. It’s now August. The tabloid is oddly making these allegations more than a year after Stefani’s last stint as a coach, and the magazine has a history of peddling misinformation on both the couple and the show. But Gossip Cop can point out significant flaws in this story. There also isn’t any evidence to support this storyline. And Stefani left the possibility of another return to “The Voice” open when she finished her last season. 2018. Stefani was last a coach on “The Voice” during season 12, which ended more than a year ago. “Gwen Stefani Did NOT ‘Call Off Wedding’ To Blake Shelton, Despite Report.” Gossip Cop, 3 Jan. “Gwen loves ‘The Voice,’ but she loves Blake more. She’s never said otherwise. But this timeframe is actually noteworthy for one reason: Earlier this year, Life & Style claimed Stefani and Shelton were having a summer wedding. We’re now more than halfway through the summer, and the stars still haven’t wed, just as Gossip Cop said they wouldn’t. “EXCLUSIVE: Gwen Stefani Dishes on When She Might Return to ‘The Voice’: ‘We’ll See What Happens.’” Entertainment Tonight, 22 May 2017. And that’s supposedly regardless of “how much money NBC throws at her.”
The alleged tipster contends NBC “made Gwen an offer [to come back], but she’s not taking any chances. For example, when it was revealed in late 2016 that Stefani would be returning to “The Voice” for the first cycle in 2017, Shelton exclaimed to reporters, “I want Gwen to come back for obvious reasons!” He went on to say, “We were high-fiving and partying,” adding, “Obviously Gwen is special and she deserves this.”
Then, when it became clear in the spring of 2017 that Stefani was leaving “The Voice” again, Shelton expressed his disappointment, and gushed about working with his girlfriend. A new report claims he “asked” her to leave the NBC music competition. Peckham, Tina Smithers. 2016. Weiss, Shari. She was adamant when she told them, ‘Thanks but no thanks!’” But these claims go directly against what both Stefani and Shelton have said on the subject. But also it’s a crashing blow to your ego when you realize all the cheers and people shouting at ya. “I love being here, I’d love to come back,” she said. 2018. “Gwen Stefani Opens Residency with Las Vegas-Inspired Show.” Las Vegas Review-Journal, 28 June 2018. “Blake Shelton Wants Gwen Stefani Back on The Voice for ‘Obvious’ Reasons: ‘She Is Special,’ Says the Singer.” People, 14 Dec. Shuster, Andrew. Ungerman, Alex.
Weiss, Shari. “Blake Shelton Wines and Dines Gwen Stefani over Mother’s Day Weekend.” Rare Country, 15 May 2017. At the time, the website often referred to as HollywoodLies maintained that Shelton was going to surprise Stefani for the “special day,” and it would “involve a trip.” But Gossip Cop fact-checked the claim with a number of insiders connected to both singers, as well as with her rep, and we rightly reported then the outlet’s story was not true. that there was no trip other than to their church that they regularly attend. “Gwen Stefani Dons Chic All Black Outfit for Mother’s Day Mass with Blake Shelton and Kids.” Daily Mail, 13 May 2018. In this particular instance, since Shelton, Stefani and her kids were at Yosemite last Mother’s Day, and they often travel to his ranch in Oklahoma, the often discredited blog rolled the diced and hoped they’d land “somewhere country.” But they didn’t. When Gossip Cop debunked the claim last week, a Shelton insider told us he wasn’t going to venture outside of L.A. Among the manufactured assertions from HollywoodLies was that Shelton was keeping their “Mother’s Day plans a secret,” but that they’d be taking “a trip,” and while Stefani had “no idea where… it will be somewhere country.” The site’s fake insider reiterated that Mother’s Day was going to be a time for Stefani “to relax with her boys in nature.”
Here’s what happened: HollywoodLies seemingly has no real sources close to the singers and was simply taking a guess. The outlet tends to manufacture news about the couple related to holidays, but it’s repeatedly wrong, like when it fibbed about Shelton going to propose to Stefani on Valentine’s Day. Lewittes, Michael. “Gwen Stefani ‘Hoping For Country Mother’s Day’ With Blake Shelton Is Made-Up Story.” Gossip Cop, 11 May 2018. Curiously, in a new article published on Sunday about the holiday, HollywoodLies makes no mention about it falsely reporting days ago how Shelton was whisking away Stefani for a Mother’s Day “trip.” It just notes that they went to church, which the website learned by buying paparazzi pictures of them leaving their house of worship. Now that the holiday is over, it’s clear from photos of Shelton, Stefani and her kids leaving a Mother’s Day mass in L.A. because he’s slated to appear on Monday’s live taping of “The Voice.” Meanwhile, Stefani’s rep assured us that HollywoodLife was making up fake news, as it as done before about her. Spokesman for Gwen Stefani, 11 May 2018. And contrary to the site’s supposed source asserting that Shelton had “something even better up his sleeve” for this year, he actually rolled them down, and threw a blazer over them, to simply attend church in L.A. Her spokesperson further noted that no one close to Stefani would share anything about her personal life with that blog. “Blake Shelton Shopping For Diamond Ring For Gwen Stefani, Proposing On Valentine’s Day Is Made-Up.” Gossip Cop, 6 Feb.
