A tabloid has concocted a fictional story about Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s relationship, claiming their five-year marriage is in trouble over the singer’s “dark moods.” Gossip Cop looked into the situation. And that makes sense — 16 seasons is a lot of work, and he’s certainly not the first host to step away from the big red chair. In fact, Prinsloo shared two separate Instagram posts to celebrate the couple’s five-year anniversary last month, one of which said, “Best 5 years!”

But at the same time, we know he wants us to keep trucking.” Those aren’t the words of someone broken by grief, and it’s insulting to Feldstein’s memory to imply Levine is ready to give up. As far as the Super Bowl performance, Levine addressed it in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in January. “It was time to move on,” Levine said in an Instagram post describing his experiences on the show. The outlet also maintains that Levine’s exit from The Voice was based on “difficult negotiations” and was the latest in a series of “consecutive lows.”
The “source” goes on to say that Prinsloo has “suffered almost as much as he has from the latest lows in his life. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted a similar story from Star’s sister outlet, RadarOnline, which wrongly reported that Fallon was afraid of losing “The Tonight Show” over his ratings. However, the head of NBC himself, Bob Greenblatt, said all rumors of the network being worried about Fallon were “completely false.” The gossip media clearly has no idea what’s going on behind the scenes of late night TV. Gossip Cop can also confirm that Fallon isn’t in danger of losing his hosting gig. 2018. Although it’s reasonable to believe the talk show host isn’t thrilled about his ratings defeat, the idea that he’s headed for some sort of breakdown simply isn’t true. The blog also maintained that the talk show host was “falling into a deep depression” over the situation. It’s worth noting, “The Tonight Show” has a life of its own on digital platforms, which is how most young people view content these days. There’s simply no truth to it. Hoda Kotb’s “Days Are Numbered” At “Today” Show?

Right after Kotb took over Lauer’s job, the ratings actually went up for the morning program. That was the premise of a cover story from one of the celebrity magazine’s one year ago today. “‘Today’: Ratings show replacing Matt Lauer with Hoda Kotb was a winning strategy.” USA Today via Associated Press, 21 Dec. And, of course, the claim that Lauer could be returning to the “Today” show, which the Enquirer’s sister site, RadarOnline, also pushed, was equally false. Now, a full 365 days later, there’s no question whatsoever that the magazine either fabricated the tale itself or it relied on a wholly untrustworthy source. The publication went so far as to assert the network was also “considering reinstating” Lauer. At the time, Gossip Cop said it was nothing more than a work of fiction, and it’s clear 12 months later the report about her being fired could not have been more wrong. Far from her days being “numbered,” Kotb is undoubtedly considered one of NBC News’s biggest and most respected stars. The reason Kotb was set to be fired, alleged the publication, was the program’s “slumping ratings.” And to make its article sound believable, the supermarket tabloid insisted it had a source at NBC who leaked that the news anchor’s “days are numbered.”

The supposed tipster added how the network’s executives felt making Kotb the co-anchor alongside Savannah Guthrie, following Matt Lauer’s firing, was a “big mistake” that had to be “fixed” immediately. From time-to-time, Gossip Cop revisits articles from the previous year to show how they’ve held up, and to point out which outlets are and aren’t dependable sources for accurate information about particular celebrities or shows. In January 2018, RadarOnline made up a story about the “This Is Us” cast and crew being frustrated by Moore and Ventimiglia’s so-called “off-screen fights.” The website maintained that the co-stars had clashing personalities and couldn’t stand each other. According to the National Enquirer, the actress is planning to walk away from the NBC cop drama after 20 seasons and relocate from New York City to Los Angeles to explore opportunities in the film industry. 2018. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct that claim. According to RadarOnline, the coaches on “The Voice” are “furious” Carey was hired because “no one wants her to join” the program. Another of that blog’s blunders which we corrected was when it wrongly asserted about a year ago that Hudson was being “fired” from “The Voice.” Maybe RadarOnline should be “furious” with its sources who have repeatedly fed the site bogus information about “The Voice.”

The irony, of course, is that these gossip magazines are manufacturing untrue stories about journalists, who are all about fact-checking and accuracy. After maintaining she miscarried the country singer’s baby and derailed their “plans to have children,” the often discredited site grotesquely exclaims Stefani’s “pals [are] concerned the tragedy has damaged her emotionally!” Continuing its practical excitement, a seemingly concocted “source” is quoted as saying, “It was very hard for her… since she and Blake tried to have a baby for at least a year-and-a-half!”
The website then contends that Stefani “learned about the tragedy during a recent visit with her obstetrician… though she’s remained silent about their loss.” “She was crushed when the ultrasound technician was unable to detect a heartbeat!” blurts the so-called source. A new report claiming Gwen Stefani “suffered a devastating miscarriage” that shattered her “baby dreams” and in turn put her “wedding” to Blake Shelton “in jeopardy,” is not only made up, but may also be a new low for a particular website. This isn’t how real people discuss miscarriage. We’re told it’s untrue. For starters, as Gossip Cop was told by an insider, Stefani was not pregnant with Shelton’s child. Next, the blog maintains that following the fabricated miscarriage, Stefani has “remained silent about their loss,” yet it also contends “pals are concerned the tragedy has damaged her emotionally.” If she was quiet about losing a baby, how come so many “pals” know about it? There is so much wrong with RadarOnline’s story it’s difficult to decide where to begin.

Matt Lauer is writing a tell-all book about the “Today” show. But there’s no $12 million revenge-fueled tell-all currently in the works, Gossip Cop is assured. And nearly a year has gone by since that cover story, but Lauer remains married. In truth, NBC had every intention of keeping its biggest star for the duration of his contract, and potentially longer, until the sexual misconduct allegations emerged months later. Clearly, the publication’s reporting on the TV personality has been a bit off, to say the least. It is possible that, at some point down the line, he’ll write a soul-searching memoir. Gossip Cop can bust the untrue report. But the new cover of In Touch is blaring, “‘Today’ In Turmoil! The magazine further wrongly declares, “So at this point, he has nothing to lose by telling all.”
He could actually lose a lot. Gossip Cop hears his exit agreement with NBC News includes a non-disparagement clause, which would certainly limit what he can discuss in a book. It also doesn’t make sense that the tabloid alleges Lauer will “need whatever cash he makes from the book” or that its source claims he’s “panicking about money.” Yes, he is “out of one of the highest-paying jobs in broadcast journalism,” but with multiple homes worth millions of dollars, on top of what he has in the bank, he and his family are set for life. In rehearsal, Levine pointed out that Agen wants to be a singer-songwriter, just like Bareilles, and he hoped to highlight how there’s “so much” to her voice. “I know that you’re gonna be here til the very end,” the pop star told her, adding, “You’re so focused and confident. So amazing to see at your age.”
Levine called Agen’s voice “incredible.” He went on to say she can be “an inspiration to so many young women. Following the Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts and Playoffs, there’s 12 artists left in the NBC music competition with three singers on each of the four teams. At 16, Agen, who covered “Angel From Montgomery” for the Playoffs, is already one to watch for her stunning voice. The contestants not only have to sing live, but earn America’s votes to stick around week to week. An article in the latest issue of In Touch claims the veteran “Today” anchor frequently expresses his displeasure with Kelly taking over the third hour of the morning show. She’s then slated to do shows in Dubai in early December. Performing outside at night in cold temperatures and traveling to another continent isn’t exactly taking it easy. The mom of three was wearing a “skintight mermaid costume,” which supposedly caught the attention of an “eyewitness,” who is quoted as saying, “The costume was very fitted, for sure, but it just looked like a baby bump to me. Sure. That’s why she is looking very bumpy.” Yet this same supposed snitch contends later in the article, “Friends are saying that Gwen is pregnant right now.” First off, this “source” can’t be too close to Stefani if he or she is relying on what “friends are saying,” instead of providing first-hand knowledge. One week later, Stefani stepped out again on Wednesday. And second, it makes little sense for the same person to say she’s only “bumpy” due to water retention and weight gain from medication but then say she’s “pregnant right now.”
Which is it? The publication seems to want it both ways, and also seems to hope its tale is long-forgotten in a few months’ time. “Friends don’t expect a pregnancy announcement until she is well into her fourth month, if not even longer than that,” maintains the alleged tipster.
